Local Authors Past and Present
Work in progress here -- the field is richer than first envisioned. We hope to incorporate past authors (Marianne Moore, Jean Craighead George, Hugh Henry Brackenridge, and so on), present authors/illustrators (Amy Bates, Megan Lloyd-Thompson, Adrienne Su, Kim van Alkemade, Sherry Knowlton, and so on), and books from authors who knew the Valley well and wrote about events here (Lois Lenski, Lois Lowry, Conrad Richter, and so on). We will organize them with category headers for better searching and annotate them with the particulars as we work on this. Keep checking!

Beyond the Sunset: A Travel Memoir [volume 1 - Adventures Outside My Comfort Zone]
From Woodstock to the Okavango. How a bookworm turned flower child turned healthcare executive found joy in traveling the world
The result of a brief hiatus from the Alexa Williams suspense series, Sherry Knowlton's newest writing venture goes in an entirely new direction. She has written a two-volume travel memoir, with the first volume, Beyond the Sunset: Adventures Outside My Comfort Zone, to be released in mid-September.
In a series of essays and anecdotes, this engaging memoir tells the story of a small-town Pennsylvania girl who stretched her horizons, tested her limits, and traveled all over the globe. Illuminated by stunning photos taken by Sherry and her husband, Mike Knowlton, Beyond the Sunset is a love letter to all those explorers with a nine to five job and a zest for travel.
