Framley Parsonage
Framley Parsonage
Framley Parsonage continues the Barchester series of novels in which Trollope explores the life of a mid-nineteenth-century cathedral town. Popular since it was first published, the story combines romantic comedy with political and social satire in a plot which focuses on Lord Lufton’s courtship of Lucy Robarts, ironically counterpointed with the rival suits of Lord Dumbello for Griselda Grantley and Dr Thorne for Miss Dunstable. Framley Parsonage is the fourth of Trollope's six Barchester Novels, all published by Everyman's Library.
