The first concert in our Mulan's Lawn Concert Series featured Dickinson college student band The EP Project (L to R Silvana Kreines, Aaron Ammerman, Edwin Padilla and Brady Hummel)
The EP Project is a project founded by Edwin Padilla and Silvana Kreines in 2012 in the basement of a Dickinson College dorm. In the early incarnations of the group, they played a wide variety of popular music at venues around campus. However, many of their influences stem from timeless artists such as John Coltrane, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Garrett, Charles Mingus, Ray Brown and James Brown. They primarily play jazz and its sub-genres, as well as rock, hip-hop and funk. The current instrumentation for the band includes various combinations of a saxophonist, a bassist, a drummer, a guitarist and a pianist.
Whistlestop Bookshop is an independent bookseller in Carlisle PA. Founded in 1985, Whistlestop sells new and secondhand books in all categories and a wide variety of sidelines, from magazines to puzzles, literary t-shirts to cds and dvds, from totes to local honey. Our mission is to get the right books in the right hands at the right time.
