This deluxe gift journal pairs a dozen daylight photos of New York City landmarks with photographic overlays of the same scenes at night, forming a multifaceted portrait of New York over time while also dividing the book into 12 sections. Here we are reminded that New York City has two distinct faces—a hive of business, commerce, and production by day, and a place of romance, mystery, and restless energy by night—both of which are revealed here in photos from the New York Times. Measuring just over 7 × 10 inches closed, the book has a ribbon marker, a sewn binding, and silver foil edges on the college-ruled cream pages, bound in a laminated photographic cover with color photo endpapers.
