Breathing in Christ is a book about remembering who we are and Whose we are. It invites us to slow down, reconnect with the presence of Christ, and rediscover the dignity and life God breathes into each of us.

Yet, every year in communities across our country and around the globe, people die while experiencing homelessness. Often unnoticed. Often unnamed. Often without the dignity every human being deserves. The Homeless Memorial Blanket Initiative was created to remember and honor those lives.

Each blanket represents a person who has died while experiencing homelessness. Thousands of compassionate artisans stitch each one with love and care, creating a powerful reminder that every life matters and every person deserves to be remembered.

Each year, on the longest and darkest night of the year, these blankets are gathered from communities across the country and brought together in one powerful display of remembrance and love. Then, in a beautiful act of compassion and hope, the blankets are immediately distributed to individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness, offering warmth, dignity, and a tangible sign that they are seen, remembered, and not alone.
